The DL envelope is designed to accommodate an A4 sheet of paper folded over twice to create three roughly equal sections. Measuring 22cm in width and 11cm in height, the DL envelope is normally used for sending single page letters and documents. As the enclosed document will need to be folded twice, it will be marked with creases which can sometimes look unprofessional if there are more than two pages. For this reason we recommend using DL envelopes only for single page documents when you’re trying to put across a professional image. The DL envelope is not part of the ISO C series, which is the widely used standard size for envelopes. It is presumed that DL once stood for DIN Lang (Deutsche Industrie Norm, Long), however is now the abbreviation for “Dimension Lengthwise” by ISO 269. (See C Series Envelope Formats)

Desk Dimensions at LA Office UK!

When furnishing an office, whether it be at home or at the business premises, it is essential that you measure the areas where you’d like the desks to go, particularly when you are purchasing more than one and intend to create ‘pod’ like areas for the different teams within the office. A desk will need to be big enough to house all the items each employee uses; the computer monitor, the keyboard, note pads, pen pot, stapler, filing drawers/letter tray, maybe a nice plant or photograph (these things really do have beneficial effects on our attitudes at work) etc. One way of doing this would be to find the desk that best suits your requirements and budget, take down its dimensions and then using masking tape and a measuring tape, make markings on the floor where the desks will go. This way you will see if your office can contain these desks and whether it will function properly with the desk sizes you have chosen. If not, you’ll need to consider either re-arranging the set out of these desks or your office, or reconsider the size of desk you have chosen.

Your next step is to choose which leg option you’d like to go for. The three basic leg options are;
