Pritt Roller Adhesive Here at LA Office!

Are you sick and tired of asking your children how on earth they managed to get glue in their hair? Have you run out of ways to try and get those glue stains out of the sofa, off of the carpet? Arts and craft and cutting and sticking with the kids can be a messy ordeal when using ordinary PVA glue; you have glue brushes and pasters to worry about, your table tops current perfect finish to consider, your children’s clothes and then of course the spread of the sticky stuff from the fingers to just about everywhere and everything in your house. It’s no better in school in fact when you have a classroom of 30 children to watch over, now this can literally be a sticky situation and one which we all know is impossible to deal with, by the looks of their school jumpers when they come home!

One alternative of course is a glue stick, a much less messy alternative and one which is very simple to use and suitable for all ages. However even the glue stick isn’t ideal. Over time the glue stick can dry up and become completely un-usable, plus, they’re not great for gluing small, fiddly items. So where does this leave us?

A more recent idea has proven extremely popular in school, home and office settings due to its mess free ease of use and its particular strength in gluing small areas accurately. The Pritt Roller Adhesive featured to your right has become a global success and much loved stationery favourite. What’s more it even comes in both permanent and re-stickable options! Featuring;

  • New compact refillable roller system
  • Fits neatly in the hand
  • Built-in retractable nib protector
  • Available with permanent or re-stickable cartridge
  • Improved action for precision gluing
  • Just £2.73 inc VAT!

The Green Bit

Pritt are part of the Henkel brand and take environmental and social issues very seriously.The Company introduced regular ecological testing of detergents and household cleaners as long ago as 1959. In 1991, Henkel was one of the first companies to sign the Business Charter for Sustainable Development of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The principles of sustainability and corporate social responsibility are taken into consideration from the outset in their research projects and product development. The Pritt Stick shows how Henkel replaced mineral oil based raw materials by suitable renewable raw materials at an early stage. In 1991, Henkel started to develop alternatives to a variety of raw materials. The prospect of finding a substitute raw material that would reduce dependence on mineral oil based polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was also economically interesting, as the great demand for PVP was met by just a few suppliers. The quality of the glue stick produced with an alternative raw material had to be at least equal to that of the existing product. This is when starch was discovered as the potential alternative raw material, as it has good adhesive properties when it is appropriately chemically modified. After a development period and a test phase of two years, consumer tests were successfully concluded and the first generation of the starch-based Pritt Stick was produced. In 2000, PVP was finally completely replaced. Worldwide, Henkel is the only supplier of starch-based glue sticks.

LA Office - UK Envelope Suppliers!

I remember as a kid I used to make occasions cards for my family on birthdays, Mothers day, Fathers day, Easter, Christmas etc. To be honest, I know that my mother in particular still loves them now, so whenever I have the time I’ll take a day out to make her a card for Mothers day or her birthday. It’s quite nice to have the excuse to get out all my lovely art supplies, which by the way include the most fabulous Derwent artist pencils which I swear by! My grandparents pulled out a folder the other day filled with cards that my brothers, my cousins and I had made for them over the years, it was quite bizarre. Some of them even had homemade envelopes which gave me an idea for today’s blog. As reputable envelope suppliers we have various different customer markets; from big corporate giants to small offices, to home workers and families. Now obviously businesses will not have the time to go making their own envelopes, but for our small niche market of families, they could have a go at making envelopes of their own as a fun activity to do with the kids. You will need:

Get yourself a sheet of paper measuring 8 ½ - by 11” and fold a half-inch seem on each long side. Next, measure 4 inches from the bottom of the paper and mark with a pencil. Fold the paper along the 4 inch line creating the bottom flap for the card to sit inside. Next, use the glue to stick the bottom flap to the folded sides and fold the top of the paper over by 2 inches forming the top flap. Taper the sides of this flap to create some style. When you have filled your envelopes, glue the top flap closed.

For businesses, unless you’re looking for a nice team building experience you may prefer to look through our selection of different envelopes available in various sizes and from some top brands. Our envelopes are made from high quality paper and are priced to suit all different budgets. Choose from the following categories:
