We all remember the winter of 2010-2011 and what an end to 2010 that was. Christmas was a washout and to say a cloud of depression overcast us, would be an understatement!

Some predictions have said that we will have four of these shocking winters in a row, and recent forecasts by James Madden have suggested November, December, January and February will feature largely below-average temperatures across many parts of the UK and the likelihood that temperatures and snowfall records will be broken within this time frame. It is estimated that 1.4million tonnes of salt will be stockpiled this year which means that on average local authorities will have approximately 1,500 tonnes more salt at the ready to treat roads and pavements than they did last winter.

Check on Your Staffs Whereabouts…

As you’re business continues to succeed you’ll find yourself employing an ever growing workforce to share the load. If and when your pens do run out however, all is not lost. You can buy yourself a little time while you order in your next batch by giving them a little boost. Depending on whether or not they’re water based, you simply dip the tip in nail varnish remover and pop the cap back on for a few minutes.
